SNARRY GAMES

Oh, come on! I know you feel overwhelmed by all the fic that's appearing. Long stories, some with superb, brilliant, wonderful dragons in them and some with not-even-barbecued phoenixes even.

The early stories got tons of feedback, but the more recent ones have barely been holding their head above water.

Yes, I know. Long stories, twice a day. And you have Real Life to contend with as well. And you were reading all those H/D that were popping up at the same time.

May I offer a potential solution?

Start reading today's posts. Go back later to the previous ones (if you want). Come on, you know you didn't read every Smutmas or H/D that was posted and you didn't feel guilty about that. Don't feel guilty about this solution.

OR

Just pick one team (preferably, for example, not that I'm biased or anything, TEAM DRAGON) and just read those and then go back and read the stories posted by That Other Team.

OR

Go to the Half-Way Mark post and read the stories written by your favourite writers, or the ones with the summaries that tickle you for some reason.

http://asylums.insanejournal.com/snarry_games/183033.html

OR

Read every story posted on even-numbered days only. Or odd-numbered days.

OR

. . .

Look, frankly, I don't care what you do, but please, go read some of the stories that are up there. They cost only a bit of your time. No Canadian versus American versus European pricing. No PayPal converting to your home money standard. No VAT/GST/State Tax.

You can find stories about Harry and Severus getting together, romances, break-ups, mentoring, proxying; based on RL, based on fairy tales, based on history (well researched!); bittersweet stories, funny stories, sad stories, stories that will make you cry, stories that will make you sigh, stories that will make you horny.

And please, if you don't like a story, stop reading and try another.

If you like a story, leave feedback. That's your only cost. (Well, until a certain date, you can also vote. *I* can't, but you can.)

And it doesn't have to be much. Just: I liked this. OR Good story. OR even just a :-)

You can do that.

(I know that you can.)

Excellent cheerleading there! ;)

One of these days I'm sure I'll drift into the Snarry camp. For now, tho, I'm completely enthralled with H/D - the World Cup kept me busy, and now I've got beltane and inspired to keep up with. It never stops! However, I promise that I'll read that Victorian one that you mentioned, and I'd like to hunt back and find yours too, because that sounded sizzling.

Soooo much to read!

I swear I will read them when I get the internet back!

I just can't bring myself to read HP pr0n in the uni computer lab while some student worker wanders around leaning over the screens to write on the monitors. And for the last... week and a half? ... that's the only internet access I have.

But when I have internet again, count on it! I'm going crazy knowing that all the while I'm running out of books and staring forlornly at the darkened computer there's all this AWESOME free stuff piling up on the Games!

Dear Josan, I love your stories dearly. There is always some bittersweet harmony and calmness that reminds me about true meaning of life, about really important things and real bravery, about sacrifices, treachery and strength. I often re-read your stories and they never ceased to amaze me. And every time I found their tenderness and underneath strength reassuring.
It pains me to see those who were brave and strong forgotten and discarded after they work is done and I always think that there is not enough punishment for those who betrayed them. But nevertheless there is always hope.
I like it very much that you include in your stories some cultural aspects. It definitely makes your fics richer and more profound, and your characters always seem real and alive. And with special focus of each story, every one of them is truly unique.
Thank you very much for your stories and good luck!

hi. I would like to ask where I can read all your fanfiction. 'Cos I don't see any link on your userinfo page. Thanks.
