A story rec
I don't read all that much Harry/Draco but this was rec'ed by [info]fourth_rose and I trust her recs enough to go read.

It was absolutely amazing. It deals with the physical consequences of surviving both the Dark Lord and Death.

Hi.
You should be pleased. I am responding to your admonishments about the need for more and better feedback.
I just re-read your ss/rw classic, Aftermath, which is quite possibly my all time favorite hp fic. I love your portrayal of both Snape and Ron. Snape is his bristling cannon self, only having had the years of peace in which to heal and become centered. Your stubborn, independent, vulnerable Ron is heartbreakingly credible. In my mind, Aftermath is the quintessential hurt/comfort story to which all others must be compared.
But I digress. After I re-read Aftermath, I set about finding your more recent writings and found this journal and this entry. I totally agree with your rec of Vale Sanare, which reminded me so much of the h/c feel of Aftermath. I think its only coincidence that they both involve seizures. The thing that connects them for me is the way both stories convey the suffering of Ron and Draco under their respective disabilities, how their sense of self demands that they be independent, and how their lovers respect them enough to both allow them their independence while also managing to help them with the underlying symptoms of their disability. They are stories of independent spirit and respectful love. Kudos and gobs of appreciation.
